Upper Flat Remodelling
Remodelling, 2021
The ‘Upper Flat’ was a project to completely remodel a first floor flat in North London. Multiple alterations to the existing Victorian Townhouse had been made over the years, resulting in a poor quality and often confusing interior.
Internal partitions are removed and a new footprint is introduced, inspired by the original Vicotorian architecture. A master suite with a walk in wardrobe and en-suite replaces a tired lounge and bathroom area. When the core of the building is replaced, a series of high quality new joinery additions were constructed, to provide a minimal aesthetic, but with plenty of space for storage and clothes. New ironmongery and light fittings are provided throughout, helping to create a high quality but calm interior for the home.
The project was a combination of architecture, interiors and joinery design in order to provide one language throughout.
