Merchant City Bar, Glasgow
Competition Entry: New facade and refurbishment, 2015
The project looked to inhabit a derelict warehouse building in the East End of Glasgow’s Merchant City, by demolishing two facades with severe structural damage, and an unused mezzanine level. The proposal looked to introduce a new rhythmic facade, inspired by the formal stone street fronts of Glasgow, whilst introducing a new triple height volume for a bar.
